Band Of The Month (March) - All Time Low (English)






We'll go on this 2013 with our Band of the Month of March. They are All Time Low, one of our fav bands. Let's get to know a bit more about them :





All Time Low is a punk pop band which started in 2003 in Baltimore (Maryland) and it is composed of Alex Gaskarth (Vocals and rhythm guitar), Jack Barakat (Vocals and lead guitar), Zack Merrick (Vocals and bass) and Rian Dawson (Drums).


Their story, as that of many other bands, starts when being at high school and these four guys decided to share their music likings covering their favourite bands' hits. Soon theit talent is granted with a contract with Emerald Moon Records to release their first EP "The Three Words To Remember In Dealing With The End" in 2004 and their debut album "The Party Scene" in 2006.

Right in 2006, when graduating from high school, a first class discography comes with a new contract, Hopeless Records. They relesead with them their new EP "Put Up Or Shut Up", recording again their old tracks and a pair of new ones and in a more professional way, promoting their work through massive touring.




On the 25th September 2007 the band will gain both in quality and fame when they release their new album "So Wrong, It's Right". With a better edition and production, a more personalized style which would gradually settle and catchy singles as "Dear Maria, Count Me In" get their music to widely spread, topping the charts, getting highly positive reviews and hitting music channels such as MTV. Furthermore, achieving and own and personal sound in the punk pop scene which will remain for future works.

Their fans would have the chance to taste their powerful live show through some of the main festivals such as the Vans Warped Tour or the Give It A Name. Among the three album singles "Six Feet Under The Stars", "Dear Maria, Count Me In" and "Poppin' Champagne", the sophomore is certificated with gold for selling more than half a million.





Shortly after releasing "So Wrong, It's Right", All Time Low embarks on the creation of their new work, somehow more mature and addressing an established loyal audicence. 7th July 2009 "Nothing Personal" comes out, reaching number 4 on the US charts and topping those of several countries such as Australia, Japan, Sweden... Produced by some as Matt Squire or Butch Walker and with massive promotion in the media, the album is a topseller. Three singles will be released from it : "Weightless", "Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)" and "Lost In Stereo".

Right besides the album great success they will tour around North America, Australia or Europe. Their name appears on the line-ups of the best known festivals in 2009 and 2010 : the Vans Warped Tour, Soundwave, Bamboozle or the Reading where some of the stages where they played. They also had the chance to open for or play with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, Hey Monday, Simple Plan and many more.




From one among all those shows performed during their tours, more exactly the one at the Hammerstein Ballroom at New York City on December 2009, they would record and release their first live CD and DVD on the 25th of May 2010, being titled "Straight To DVD". They also took part in the side soundtrack for the film "Alice in Wonderland", called "Almost Alice" with their song "Painting Flowers".

On the 6th of June 2011 their new studio album came out, "Dirty Work". Produced by name of the category of Matt Esquire or John Fields and released by Interscope Records, it topped the charts all ove the world once more, with a fantastic 6th on the US Billboard. It would be promoted by its singles "I Feel Like Dancin'", "Time-Bomb" and "Forget About It" and also through the "The Dirty Work Tour" along with Yellowcard, Hey Monday and The Summer Set.




The band fans wouldn't wait for long in order to get a new release from their fav musicians. 9th October 2012 and produced almost 100% by Alex Gaskarth and Mike Green, "Don't Panic" came out. The album would get highly positive reviews to keep loyal to the band's style and sound after so many years and which includes collabs from Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday) and Jason Vena (Acceptance). With its singles "For Baltimore" and "Somewhere In Neverland" it would get to the number 5 on the UK charts and 6th on the US Billboard.

For their fans pleasure the full album was uploaded to YouTube for streaming right before the release date. They would embark then on their promo tour "Triptacular", playing three consecutive show on three dates on three different continents, being the lucky countries Japan, United Kingdom and USA. They would start then an American tour and in a near future a world tour which will get them to every corner of the globe in 2013.
