After three years of hiatus and focusing on their solo careers the band has reunited with new music, an album scheduled for May and a tour.
The new album is due to be released 6th - 7th May 2013 worlwide and it's titled "Save Rock & Roll" in several different bundles which you can already pre-order :

Seguimos en 2013 con nuestro Grupo del Mes of February. Ellos son We The Kings, capitaneados por el pelirrojo más conocido. Conozcámoslos un poco :
We The Kings es un grupo de punk pop formado en el año 2000 en Bradenton (Florida) y compuesto en la actualidad por Travis Clark (Cantante y guitarra), Hunter Thomsen (Guitarra y coros), Coley O'Toole (Guitarra, piano y coros), Charles Trippy (Bajo) y Danny Duncan (Batería).
El grupo comienza su andadura en el año 2000, con una formación completamente distinta y un estilo musical diferente del que les proporcionó la fama mundial. Por entonces, Travis, su hermano y Hunter y Andrew Thomsen, se hacían llamar Broken Image. Con este nombre publicaron sus primeros EPs, "IVY" y "Friendship Is A Touchy Subject". Más tarde se harían llamar De Soto, publicando "Between The Ink And Pen". Aún con este nombre realizaron su primera gira junto con Don't Die Cindy. No fue hasta 2005 cuando Travis Clark, Hunter Thomsen, Andrew Thomseny Danny Duncan formarían We The Kings, tomando el nombre de su escuela, King Middle School.
El éxito no tardó en llamar a su puerta. Tras la buena aceptación de sus temas en redes sociales y páginas especializadas, son fichados por S-Curve Records, filial de EMI. Con ellos publican el 7 de Octubre de 2007 su primer disco "We The Kings". Este primer trabajo recibiría críticas muy positivas y apoyado por singles potentes y pegadizos como "Skyway Avenue", "Check Yes Juliet" o "Secret Valentine", pronto les hizo conocidos en la escena punk pop, apoyados por sus divertidos videos musicales y el carisma de Travis. Ese mismo año tocarían con grupos como Boys Like Girls, All Time Low o Cobra Starship.
Tras meses de intensas giras y promociones y con un creciente número de seguidores, en 2008 We The Kings toca en el Warped Tour. El 16 de Diciembre del mismo año publican su "Secret Valentine EP", en el que incluyen dos versiones del famoso tema que da título al trabajo y cuatro nuevas canciones, confirmando al grupo como una de las bandas de moda y referencia.
En 2009, el grupo repite la experiencia del Warped Tour y participa también en el Bamboozle, tocando ese año con bandas como The Cab, Hey Mondayo Forever The Sickest Kids.
Como suelen decir habitualmente los entendidos, si difícil es llegar, más difícil es mantenerse. El 8 de Diciembre de 2009, We The Kings confirman su lugar en la cresta de la ola con su segundo trabajo, "Smile Kid". Una vez más, repleto de temas pegadizos y vibrantes que hacen las delicias de los seguidores del pelirrojo más conocido en su estilo y apoyado por su éxito "We'll Be A Dream", con la colaboración de Demi Lovato.
Tras casi dos años de giras y conciertos que les llevarían a tocar en escenarios de todo el mundo, incluyendo el reconocido festival Soundwave en Australia, el 5 de Julio de 2011 publican su tercer disco de estudio con el título de "Sunshine State Of Mind", un trabajo más maduro, con el espíritu de We The Kings pero con un sonido evolucionado que puede apreciarse en temas como sus sencillos "Say You Like Me" o "Friday Is Forever". Para presentarlo a su público se embarcaron en el "Friday Is Forever Tour" con The Summer Set, The Downtown Fiction, Hot Chelle Raey Action Item.
En Septiembre de 2011 Drew Thomsen deja el grupo, siendo suistituido al bajo por Charles Trippy.
A finales de 2011 Travis lanza su propia marca de ropa, "King Travis Clothing".
El 3 de Julio de 2012 sale a la venta su "Part, Fun, Love & Radio" EP, que contiene cinco canciones, cuatro versiones en acústico de temas de su tercer disco y uno compuesto para la ocasión, el que da título al EP. Dentro de la promoción de este trabajo se incluye una gira de conciertos por todo el mundo que les lleva de nuevo al Warped Tour, a Australia y por toda Europa como teloneros de Simple Plan. Es en esta gira cuando actúan por primera vez en España.
En 2013 We The Kings regresan cargados de sorpresas. El 21 de Enero publican su "Friday Is Forever EP", que recoge cinco temas clásicos del grupo. Ese mismo mes comienzan su gira por el Reino Unido seguida de otra por el resto de Europa, en la que vuelven a pisar España, tocando en Madrid y Barcelona.
También en 2013 participarán en la banda sonora de la segunda parte de "Los Juegos Del Hambre", titulada "En Llamas", con un tema llamado "The Art Of War".
We'll go on this 2013 with our Band of the Month of February. They are We The Kings, the famous redhead-fronted. Let's get to know a bit more about them :
We The Kings are a punk pop/powerpop band formed back in 2000 in Bradenton (Florida) and composed at present by Travis Clark (Vocals and guitar), Hunter Thomsen (Guitar and vocals), Coley O'Toole (Guitar, piano and vocals), Charles Trippy (Bass) and Danny Duncan (Drums).
The band started their career in the year 2000 with a quite different line-up and a music style far from that which provided them global acclaim. At that time, Travis and his brother together with Hunter and Andrew Thomsen, were called Broken Image. Under this name they released their first EPs, "IVY" and "Friendship Is A Touchy Subject". They later became De Soto, releasing "Between The Ink And Pen". It was then when they went on tour for the first time with the band Don't Die Cindy. It was not until 2005 when Travis Clark, Hunter Thomsen, Andrew Thomsen and Danny Duncan became We The Kings, being the name which made them famous taken after their school, King Middle School.
Success would not take long to come. After the great acceptance that their music received in specialized websites and in the social networks, they were signed by S-Curve Records, a branch of EMI. With this label they released their debut album "We The Kings" on the 2nd October 2007. This first released got very positive critics and reviews and they would soon become recognized in the punk pop scene because of powerful and catchy hymns as "Skyway Avenue", "Check Yes Juliet" or "Secret Valentine", together with their funny music videos and the personal charm of Travis. That very year they opened for bands such as Boys Like Girls, All Time Low or Cobra Starship.
After months of intensive touring and promoting and with an steadily increasing fanbase, We The Kings get to play in Warped Tour 2008. 16th December 2008 they released their "Secret Valentine EP" which contained two versions of their highly acclaimed hit and four new songs, confirming them as one of the bands to follow in the near future.
In 2009 We The Kings repeat the experience of playing in the Warped Tour and also goes for the first time to the Bamboozle, sharing stages that year with bands such as The Cab, Hey Monday or Forever The Sickest Kids.
As most experts in the music field tend to state it's even more difficult to stay on top than to get to it. 8th December 2009, We The Kings confirm they remain on success by releasing their sophomore album, "Smile Kid". Once again, lots of catchy songs and tunes which would surely pleasure all the fans from the most famous redhead frontman in the scene and with the collab of Demi Lovato in their hit "We'll Be A Dream".
After two long years of touring and shows which took them to stages all over the world, including the Soundwave festival in Australia, one of the most important hard rock/punk pop stops in the circuit, 5th July 2011 they release their third studio album, being titled "Sunshine State Of Mind", a more mature work, with the spirit of We The Kings but with a much evolved sound which can clearly be recognized in their singles "Say You Like Me" or "Friday Is Forever". So as to present it to their audience they embark on the "Friday Is Forever Tour" together with The Summer Set, The Downtown Fiction, Hot Chelle Rae and Action Item.
In September 2011 Drew Thomsen parts ways with the band, being replaced by the bassist and famous blogger Charles Trippy.
In the last months of 2011 Travis launches his own clothing brand, "King Travis Clothing".
3rd July 2012 they released their "Party, Fun, Love & Radio EP", which contains five tracks, four of them acoustic sessions from songs included in their third album and a new song, the one which gives name to the EP. As part of the promotion of the release the started an intense touring which took them all over the world, playing once more the Warped Tour, returning to Australia and visiting most of European important capitals and cities while opening for Simple Plan.
In 2013 WeThe Kings return with loads of updates. 21st January they release their "Friday Is Forever EP", which gathers some of the hits of the band. That same month they embark on a double tour, first throughout the UK and then visiting the rest of Europe.
Also in 2013, they will take part in the original soundtrack for the sequel of "The Hunger Games", titled "Catching Fire", with their new song "The Art Of War".
