A few weeks ago, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderlandsoundtrack, Almost Alice tracklist was released, and now, we can listen to the first sounds of the album that will appear in stores on March 2nd. This is the song that Avril Lavigne has written for the film, "Alice (Underground)".

Hace un par de días, se confirmaban los rumores. Patrick Stump, vocalista de Fall Out Boy, ha empezado una carrera en solitario. Mientras la banda está tomando un descanso que les tomará como mínimo unos años (como han dicho varios miembros en diferentes entrevistas), Stump aprovechará este tiempo para lanzar su proyecto. A few days ago, the rumours were confirmed. Fall Out Boy lead singer, Patrick Stump, has started a solo career. As the band is taking a break that may take several years (as some members of the band have said in different interviews), Stump is using this time to launch his proyect. So far, we only have a little video hosted in his new web, which perfoms himself as an orchestra man. He'll be producing, writting and performing all his album.

My Dinosaur Life is the fouth album by the band Motion City Soundtrack, and it was realeased last week, January 19th. Produced by Blink-182 bass, Mark Hoppus, this album have already recieved some good critics, and voices start to proclaim it like the band's best record to date.

Esta mañana en el correo he recibido el último álbum de la banda florideña We the kings, que salió a la venta el pasado 8 de Diciembre. Desde entonces, la música de Travis Clark (voz), Hunter Thomsen (guitarra), Drew Thomsen (bajo) y Danny Duncan (batería) me han estado acompañando hasta este momento.
Con los antecedentes que su primer disco homónimo nos dio, no sabía bien que esperar de este nuevo trabajo, y el resultado ha sido realmente satisfactorio.
Ya en las primeras canciones, “She takes me high” y “Promise the stars” nos encontramos un sonido mucho más alegre del que encontrábamos anteriormente en ellos, y una letra destinada reblandecer corazones. Muestra de esto es la tercera pista del álbum, que es también el primer single que ha salido para emisión en radio, “Heaven can wait”.
En Smile Kid vemos canciones que hablan de amor, de promesas y de más amor. Una variedad de sonidos mucho más amplia que la de su primer álbum.
Me han llamado especialmente la atención “In-N-Out (Animal Style)”, canción dedicada a Los Ángeles, y el dueto que comparten con Demi Lovato, “We'll be a dream” que comenzando tímidamente con un carillón consigue emocionar hasta la última fibra.
Es un disco que como ellos mismos comentan, tiene una fuerte inspiración en la música de The Beatles (“Anna Maria (All we need)”), que tiene fuerza de principio a fin, y que durante once canciones te mantiene entretenido.
Por otra parte, con la Edición Deluxe se puede disfrutar de dos versiones acústicas.
En definitiva, un trabajo que reafirma la carrera de We the kings y les mantiene evolucionando en la música.
This morning I received Floridian band We the kings last album, which was released last December 8th. Since that moment, the music of singer Travis Clark, guitarist Hunter Thomsen, bassist Drew Thomsen and drummer Danny Duncan have been with me until this moment.
With the antecedents we have from their first album, called “We the kings”, I didn't know what I could exactly expect of this new project, and I must say that the result has been really satisfactory.
In the first songs, “She takes me high” and “Promise the stars” we found a sound way happier than before in their music, and some lyrics made just to melt hearts. An example of this is the third track, which is official single for radio “Heaven can wait”.
In Smile Kid we can see songs talking about love, about promises, and about even more love. A wider variety of sounds than their first album.
I especially noticed two songs, “In-N-Out (Animal Style)”, song about Los Angeles, and duet with great singer Demi Lovato, “We'll be a dream”, that beginning with a sweet music box get to a climax that fill you completely.
It's a record that, like they themselves say, has a strong inspiration source in The Beatles music (“Anna maria (All we need)”), that is forceful from start to end and that during eleven songs keeps you entertained.
And in the other hand, if you buy the Deluxe Edition, you can enjoy two acoustic versions.
To sum up, it's an album that reasserts We the kings career and keeps them evolving in music.
