Seguimos en 2013 eligiendo a nuestro Grupo del Mes de Marzo. Ellos son All Time Low, uno de nuestros grupos favoritos. Conozcámoslos un poco más :
All Time Low es un grupo de punk pop formado en 2003 en Baltimore (Maryland) y compuesto por Alex Gaskarth (Cantante y guitarra rítmica), Jack Barakat (Guitarra solista y coros), Zack Merrick (Bajo y coros) y Rian Dawson (Batería).
Su historia, como la de muchos otros grupos, comienza en el instituto, cuando etsos cuatro chicos deciden compartir sus aficiones musicales versionando temas de sus grupos favoritos. No tardan en lograr un contrato con Emerald Moon Records que les lleva a publicar su primer EP "The Three Words To Remember In Dealing With The End" en 2004 y su primer disco "The Party Scene" en 2006.
En 2006 su graduación del instituto llega con un contrato con una discográfica de primer nivel como es Hopeless Records. Con ellos publican su EP "Put Up Or Shut Up", regrabando sus temas anteriores y añadiendo un par de canciones nuevas a la vez que, ya en un ambiente más profesional, se dedican a promocionar su trabajo en intensas giras.
El gran salto de calidad y a la fama del grupo llegará el 25 de Septiembre de 2007 con la publicación de su disco "So Wrong, It's Right". Una edición más cuidada, un estilo musical que se reafirma y personaliza y singles pegadizos como "Dear Maria, Count Me In" provocan que su música se expanda, apareciendo en las listas de los más vendidos, acaparando grandes críticas y sonando con fuerza en canales como la MTV y sobre todo logrando un estilo propio y característico dentro de la escena punk pop que mantendrán en sus próximos trabajos.
Sus fans tendrán ocasión de degustar su potente directo a través de festivales como el Warped Tour o el Give It A Name. De sus tres singles, "Six Feet Under The Stars", "Dear Maria, Count Me In" y "Poppin' Champagne", el segundo de ellos alcanza el disco de oro con más de medio millón de ventas.
Aún reciente su anterior disco, All Time Low se embarca de inmediato en la creación de su próxima entrega, mucho más madura y dirigida ya a un público fiel. El 7 de Julio de 2009 sale a la venta "Nothing Personal", alcanzando el número 4 en las listas de ventas americana y apareciendo en las de otros muchos como Australia, Japón, Suecia... Con la producción de gente como Matt Squire o Butch Walker y una intensa promoción en los medios, el disco es un éxito de ventas. De él se extraerán los singles "Weightless", "Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)" y "Lost In Stereo".
Acompañando a los excelentes resultados del álbum llegaron las giras por Norteamérica, Australia y Europa. Su nombre comenzó a llenar carteles en los mejores festivales a lo largo de 2009 y 2010 : El Vans Warped Tour, Soundwave, Bamboozle o el Reading fueron algunos de los que visitaron. También tuvieron ocasión de tocar, bien teloneando o bien compartiendo gira, con grupos como Fall Out Boy, Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, Hey Monday, Simple Plan y muchos otros.
De uno de los numeros conciertos, en concreto del realizado en el Hammerstein Ballroom de Nueva York en Diciembre de 2009, se publicaría el 25 de Mayo de 2010 su primer CD y también DVD en directo con el título "Straight To DVD". También participarán en "Almost Alice", la banda sonora alternativa para la película de Alicia en el País de las Maravillas, de Tim Burton, con su tema "Painting Flowers".
El 6 de Junio de 2011 vió la luz su nuevo disco de estudio, "Dirty Work". Con la producción de nombres como los de Matt Esquire o John Fields y publicado a través de Interscope Records, volvió a ocupar los puestos más elevados en las listas de ventas de todo el mundo, con una 6ª posición en las norteamericanas. Vendría acompañado por singles como "I Feel Like Dancin'", "Time-Bomb" o "Forget About It" y promocionado con la gira "The Dirty Work Tour" junto a Yellowcard, Hey Monday y The Summer Set.
Los seguidores del grupo no tardarían en tener una nueva remesa de temas de All Time Low. El 9 de Octubre de 2012, con la producción casi en exclusiva de Alex Gaskarth y Mike Green, aparecería "Don't Panic". Un disco que recibiría numerosas críticas positivas por mantenerse fiel al estilo del grupo después de tantos años y que cuenta con la colaboración de Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday) o Jason Vena (Acceptance). Acompañado por los singles "For Baltimore" y "Somewhere In Neverland" llegaría al número 5 en las listas británicas y el 6 en las estadounidenses.
Para alegría de sus fans, el disco al completo fue subido al canal de YouTube del grupo antes del lanzamiento oficial para su escucha. Poco después se embarcaron en la gira promocional "Triptacular", ofreciendo tres conciertos en tres países distintos en tres fechas consecutivas, siendo los afortunados Japón, Gran Bretaña y Estados Unidos. A continuación vendrían la gira americana y la futura gira mundial que les llevará por diversos países a lo largo de 2013.

All Time Low is a punk pop band which started in 2003 in Baltimore (Maryland) and it is composed of Alex Gaskarth (Vocals and rhythm guitar), Jack Barakat (Vocals and lead guitar), Zack Merrick (Vocals and bass) and Rian Dawson (Drums).
Their story, as that of many other bands, starts when being at high school and these four guys decided to share their music likings covering their favourite bands' hits. Soon theit talent is granted with a contract with Emerald Moon Records to release their first EP "The Three Words To Remember In Dealing With The End" in 2004 and their debut album "The Party Scene" in 2006.
Right in 2006, when graduating from high school, a first class discography comes with a new contract, Hopeless Records. They relesead with them their new EP "Put Up Or Shut Up", recording again their old tracks and a pair of new ones and in a more professional way, promoting their work through massive touring.
On the 25th September 2007 the band will gain both in quality and fame when they release their new album "So Wrong, It's Right". With a better edition and production, a more personalized style which would gradually settle and catchy singles as "Dear Maria, Count Me In" get their music to widely spread, topping the charts, getting highly positive reviews and hitting music channels such as MTV. Furthermore, achieving and own and personal sound in the punk pop scene which will remain for future works.
Their fans would have the chance to taste their powerful live show through some of the main festivals such as the Vans Warped Tour or the Give It A Name. Among the three album singles "Six Feet Under The Stars", "Dear Maria, Count Me In" and "Poppin' Champagne", the sophomore is certificated with gold for selling more than half a million.
Shortly after releasing "So Wrong, It's Right", All Time Low embarks on the creation of their new work, somehow more mature and addressing an established loyal audicence. 7th July 2009 "Nothing Personal" comes out, reaching number 4 on the US charts and topping those of several countries such as Australia, Japan, Sweden... Produced by some as Matt Squire or Butch Walker and with massive promotion in the media, the album is a topseller. Three singles will be released from it : "Weightless", "Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)" and "Lost In Stereo".
Right besides the album great success they will tour around North America, Australia or Europe. Their name appears on the line-ups of the best known festivals in 2009 and 2010 : the Vans Warped Tour, Soundwave, Bamboozle or the Reading where some of the stages where they played. They also had the chance to open for or play with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, Hey Monday, Simple Plan and many more.
From one among all those shows performed during their tours, more exactly the one at the Hammerstein Ballroom at New York City on December 2009, they would record and release their first live CD and DVD on the 25th of May 2010, being titled "Straight To DVD". They also took part in the side soundtrack for the film "Alice in Wonderland", called "Almost Alice" with their song "Painting Flowers".
On the 6th of June 2011 their new studio album came out, "Dirty Work". Produced by name of the category of Matt Esquire or John Fields and released by Interscope Records, it topped the charts all ove the world once more, with a fantastic 6th on the US Billboard. It would be promoted by its singles "I Feel Like Dancin'", "Time-Bomb" and "Forget About It" and also through the "The Dirty Work Tour" along with Yellowcard, Hey Monday and The Summer Set.
The band fans wouldn't wait for long in order to get a new release from their fav musicians. 9th October 2012 and produced almost 100% by Alex Gaskarth and Mike Green, "Don't Panic" came out. The album would get highly positive reviews to keep loyal to the band's style and sound after so many years and which includes collabs from Cassadee Pope (Hey Monday) and Jason Vena (Acceptance). With its singles "For Baltimore" and "Somewhere In Neverland" it would get to the number 5 on the UK charts and 6th on the US Billboard.
For their fans pleasure the full album was uploaded to YouTube for streaming right before the release date. They would embark then on their promo tour "Triptacular", playing three consecutive show on three dates on three different continents, being the lucky countries Japan, United Kingdom and USA. They would start then an American tour and in a near future a world tour which will get them to every corner of the globe in 2013.
