Esta potente banda de Punk Pop llamada New Years Day llega desde Anaheim, California (US). Liderada por la cantante Ashley Costello (Ash) y formada por el bajista Adam Lohrbach, el guitarrista/teclista Keith Drover, el guitarrista Mike Schoolden y el batería Russell Dixon, nació en 2005.
Pronto comenzaron a actuar a nivel local y a promocionarse a través del MySpace. A pesar de recibir alguna oferta del sello de Pete Wentz, Decaydance, firmaron finalmente por TVT. En Noviembre de 2006 lanzan su EP en formato digital, con el título de New Years Day, también conocido por Razor EP. Más tarde sería editado por TVT.

En 2007, con un único disco de estudio, participan en el Vans Warped Tour.
The upcoming punk pop band New Years Day comes from Anaheim, California (US). Leaded by female singer Ashley Costello (Ash) together with bassist Adam Lohrbach, guitarist/keyboardist Keith Drover, guitarist Mike Schoolden and drummer Russell Dixon, it was formed in 2005.
They soon started promoting via MySpace and gigging around. Although they received offers from Pete Wentz´s label Decaydance, they signed with TVT and in November 2006 they released their self titled digital EP, also known as the Razor EP.
